About the Author: Alexsandra Pumphrey

Alexsandra Pumphrey is an award-winning children's book author and founder of Pumphrey House Media, a publishing company dedicated to creating stories that inspire confidence, kindness, and imagination in young readers. Her debut book, Rawr Rawr Dinosaur™: It's Time to Go to Bed, won First Place at The BookFest Awards and made its festival debut at the 2026 LA Times Festival of Books.

Pumphrey House Media was founded in honor of her late mother, Regina F. Pumphrey, a published children's author who created the beloved Merle the Traveling Girl™ series. Alexsandra is continuing the series with a new release in 2026 while carrying forward her mother's legacy through stories that reflect care, connection, and positive representation for children and families.
